Quick Overview Chlorophyll is the green pigment found in plants. The ability of chlorophyll to form complexes with heavy metals, certain chemicals and toxins aids with the removal of these harmful substances from the body. Chlorophyllin, a water-soluble mixture derived from chlorophyll has been used orally as an internal deodorant and topically in the treatment of slow-healing wounds. Limited studies suggested that chlorophyllin supplementation may be beneficial in reducing gastrointestinal uptake of carcinogens, decreasing oxidative damage, promoting DNA synthesis and repair and reducing risk of alfatoxin-associated liver cancer. Each 15ml serving of Aspen Nutrition Liquid Chlorophyll contains 135mg of water soluble chlorophyllin.
